The Scientific Committee encourages you to submit your abstracts to the Conference. The abstracts should be written in English, the official language of the event.

Deadlines:

Abstract Submission Deadline: DEADLINE EXTENSION: July 25th, 2008
Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: September 1st, 2008
Final Paper Submission Deadline: October 1st, 2008

Types of contributions:

Attending in person:

Oral presentation: : each presentation will last 15 minutes and will be presented in parallel thematic sessions. We will inform you about the reference of your session and the time of your presentation once the abstract has been accepted.

Poster presentation: Your poster will be exhibited during the conference poster session.
Poster sessions will provide an opportunity for authors to display the results and conclusions of the presented paper. Authors are offered to present their works face to face to individuals and small groups.

Virtual presentation:

If you wish your paper to be published in ICERI 2008 Publications, but you are not able to attend ICERI 2008 Conference in person, you can register for a “virtual presentation”.

The virtual authors are not required to make a presentation. The instructions for virtual authors are:

• Virtual authors should submit their abstracts before the 15th of July through our on-line application.
• If their abstract is accepted, they should submit their paper.
• After the review process, each virtual abstract and paper will be published in ICERI 2008 Publications.
• Virtual contributions should reach a quality standard to be published in ICERI publications. No presentation is required.
• Virtual participants should register in the on-line registration application.
• Registered virtual authors will receive a copy of the ICERI 2008 Abstracts CD, ICERI 2008 Proceedings CD, a participation and author certificate and an invoice of the registration fee. The shipment will be made by post after the conference dates.

Submission guidelines for ORAL, POSTER and VIRTUAL Modalities

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:

1. Abstract should be submitted preferably via the on-line form, which will be available on this website as of 15th of May 2008.

2. The maximum length for abstracts is 3500 characters.

3. Abstracts should be written in English.

4. Abstracts should be based on any of the topic areas listed in the section “topics” of this website or related areas.

5. The deadline for abstract submission is 15th of July. DEADLINE EXTENSION: July 25th, 2008

6. There is a limit of two contributed submissions per lead author.

7. The Notification of acceptance/rejection of the abstracts submitted will be sent to you via e-mail by September 1st, 2008.

FINAL PAPER SUBMISSION:

1. If your abstract has been accepted, you should submit your Final Paper preferably via the on-line form. There is a limitation of 12 pages. The template of the Final Paper is available here:

2. Contributions will only be published at ICERI 2008 publications if at least one of the authors of the paper is registered before the 1st of October 2008. (in person or virtually).

3. If you wish to be a session chair, please e-mail your request to iceri2008@iated.org and indicate the topic area in which you are interested. Registration for the conference is required to be a session chair.
