The Scientific Committee encourages you to submit your abstracts to the Conference. The abstracts should be written in English, the official language of the event.

Attending in person:

Oral presentation: each presentation will last 15 minutes and will be presented in parallel thematic sessions. We will inform you about the reference of your session and the time of your presentation about 4 weeks before the event. If you have any personal restriction to present your paper in a specific date, please send us an email with your request, and we will answer as soon as possible.

Poster presentation: Your poster will be exhibited during the conference poster session. Poster sessions will provide an opportunity for authors to display the results and conclusions of the presented paper. Authors are offered to present their works face to face to individuals and small groups.

Virtual presentation:

If you wish your paper to be published in EDULEARN11 Publications, but you are not able to attend EDULEARN11 Conference in person, you can register for a “virtual presentation”.

The instructions for virtual authors are:

• Virtual authors should submit their abstracts for evaluation before the deadline: 31st of March.
• When an abstract is accepted, the full paper should be submitted on-line before the 19th of May.
• Virtual presentations will not be simultaneous. Virtual authors will be able to present their papers as follows:

• In addition to the paper submission, virtual authors can optionally submit a powerpoint presentation (with video and/or audio). These presentations will be uploaded in the conference website, in a special virtual section, so that all the conference participants will have access to them during and after the conference.
• This virtual section will enable all the participants to have access to all virtual presentations during and after the event, without having any limitations linked to time zone differences, considering the large amount of countries from all continents who will be participating in EDULEARN11.
• The deadline for submitting this powerpoint presentation is 15th of June 2011. Submissions  should be made on-line at http://www.iated.org/edulearn11/submit
• Virtual authors could be contacted by email by the conference participants in case of technical questions regarding their virtual paper.
• Abstracts and papers will be included in EDULEARN11 publications (EDULEARN11 Abstracts CD and EDULEARN11 Proceedings CD)
• Virtual participants should register on-line before the 19th of May.
• Registered virtual authors will receive a copy of the EDULEARN11 Abstracts CD, EDULEARN11 Proceedings CD, a participation and author certificate and an invoice of the registration fee. The shipment will be made by courier after the conference dates.
  

Submission guidelines for ORAL, POSTER and VIRTUAL Modalities

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:

1. Abstracts should only be submitted via on-line.
2. The deadline for abstract submission is March 31st, 2011.
3. There is a limit of two contributed submissions per registered author.
4. All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
5. Abstracts should be based on any of the topic areas listed in the section “topics” of this website or related areas.
6. Abbreviations should be defined the first time they appear in your text. Example: HEA (Higher Education Area), before being used as an abbreviation only. Please, do not define or use abbreviations in the title.
7. Please, avoid complex mathematical formulas. For the symbols ≤ or ≥, type instead <= or >=.
8. Tables, charts or other graphics may not be included and will be deleted by the editors.
9. Abstracts may not be longer than 3500 characters including spaces.
10. The minimum characters for an abstract to be reviewed are 900 including spaces
11. Authors should indicate their presentation preference:
1. oral
2. poster
3. virtual
   
   The Programme Committee reserves the right to decide on the final allocation and presentation method.
12. Each author will have his/her access and password codes:
1. After having registered as author, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with your login and password codes.
2. After registering your abstract, your will receive an email with your abstract id.
   If you do not receive any confirmation by e-mail please contact the Conference Secretariat: edulearn11@iated.org (Please, check your email address).
   If you wish to make any corrections to an abstract already submitted or if you wish to submit other abstracts, you should use your personal access codes. Corrections to abstracts can only be made until the deadline of March 31st, 2011.
13. The Notification of acceptance/rejection of the abstracts submitted will be sent to you via e-mail by 20th of April 2010.

FINAL PAPER SUBMISSION:

1. If your abstract has been accepted, you should submit your Final Paper. There is a limitation of 10 pages. The template of the Final Paper is available here:

2. Contributions will only be published at EDULEARN11 publications if at least one of the authors of the paper is registered before the 21th of May 2010. (in person or virtually).

3. If you wish to be a session chair, please e-mail your request to edulearn11@iated.org and indicate the topic area in which you are interested. Registration for the conference is required to be a session chair.
